  4. Beautiful job, thanks for posting it. It's possible the warrior in the center is an officer or of noble blood, and so deemed worthy of protection by his comrades. At the very least they may prevent the enemy from claiming his body and some trophy from him, such as his helmet or more, should he not survive his wounds. I appreciate the way his erection angles out parallel with the arrows that he caught in his gut.
